San Diego Comic Con: Update 3

Hey all;

well there's no denying it-- IT'S HERE. San Diego Comic Con International is upon us once again. Where has the year gone?

We fly out in one week; so I'm going to say our schedule is probably pretty much stabilized at this point. Adam's looks like this:

Thursday 12:30pm - 1:30pm     DC Comics All Access Panel room 6CD

Friday       11:00am - 12:00pm   Before Watchmen Signing at the DC booth #1915 with writer Len Wein

Saturday  11:30am - 12:30pm   Fairest Signing at the DC booth #1915 with writer Sean Williams

Sunday     11:00am - 12:00pm   Adam Hughes Spotlight panel in room 25ABC

Sunday     12:30pm - 1:30pm     Signing in the Sail Pavillion table AA08

The rest of your questions, answered here and now:

Our Booth number is 4607; we are in the Illustrators section. Go in through the doors to the left of the Starbucks in Lobby E. Once in the hall  turn left and walk down the aisle towards Artist's Alley. We'll be the booth on the corner just past Donato Arts but before Big Wow! If when you walk by the Starbucks there isn't much of a line? I'll take a Grande 2 pump vanilla latte. Thanks.

YES we will have a new sketchbook. But we'll have half as many as we usually do. So if you want one, come early. We'll have more inventory being shipped to us after the show for our online store. So please don't feel like you have to go to eBay the minute San Diego starts and buy a copy there. If you can wait a week or so, I'll have them available online for the same price as we'll have them at the show. And if you are a fan living outside of the U.S.and want to buy one, we suggest going through www.StuartNgBooks.com; we do not ship internationally, but Stuart is always more than happy to help out folks overseas.

We will have older sketchbooks as well. But we have less thank 30 copies of Faust Impressions left; so if you want it, grab it at the show. It will not be returning to our online store after San Diego is over.

YES we will have a new print. This artwork is not from a cover, but one of the outstanding commissions Adam has done and then beautifully colored. This will not be a piece of artwork you will have seen published anywhere before. This print also won't be available online; our prints are only sold at conventions. There are 100 in the edition; if any are left after San Diego, we'll have them with us at Baltimore Comic Con. The prints measures 13 inches by 19 inches and is $50.00.

WE DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS. Cash only, so please be prepared. If you'd like to buy a piece of artwork for Adam's portfolio of originals, and the price is higher than the cash you have with you or can easily get from the ATMs in the lobby, we can do one of two things. You can Paypal us from your hotel room and once we confirm the money is recieved you can come back for your artwork. Or you can write us a check, and we'll deposit it when we get home from the convention. Once your check has cleared, we will ship your artwork to you.

One a side note? Check out the convention map and make a note of things like the locations of ATMs and bathrooms. You can find a great interactive map at this link. You're welcome.

WANT AN INTERVIEW? Please don't just show up at our booth with your recorder or camera; it's highly unlikely that you'll catch Adam at a time where he can accomodate you. Instead, please drop me an email through the Contact Us portion of this website to make arrangements. And please understand that while the show doesn't start until July 17th, we'll be out of touch from the 14th onward. So get your requests in before that and we will try and schedule you a time.

SKETCHES

Adam will be sketching at our booth at the following times.

SNEAK PREVIEW WEDNESDAY  No sketching; only signatures.

THURSDAY   5:00PM - 6:30pm

FRIDAY 1:00pm - 2:30pm  and 5:00pm - 6:30pm

SATURDAY   4:00 - 5:30pm

SUNDAY 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Adam will be doing quick headsketches for $20. We will have paper with us, or you can get your head sketch in your own sketchbook, on a sketch cover you provide, or on your own paper. These are small sketches; if you bring a large sheet of paper, Adam will still only draw you a small sketch.  Our new sketchbook has a space on the back inside cover for a sketch if you'd like to get one there. Adam will not be doing head sketches anywhere other than our booth; his signings in the DC Booth and the Sail Pavillion will not be sketching times.

SIGNATURES

First and foremost- signatures are always free. However, please bring a reasonable amount to be signed (less than 15 items) and be aware of the number of people around you waiting to get Adam's autograph as well. If you have too many items, we will ask you to pick the 5 you want most and then move on to the next person in line. Adam will not sign anything printed illegally, without permission. This includes images from the internet, Spanish sketchbooks, and any products purchesd from a source other than an authorized dealer. IF YOU ONLY WANT SOMETHING SIGNED, AND DO NOT WANT A HEAD SKETCH? I strongly suggest going to one of Adam's scheduled signings at the DC Booth or in the Sail Pavillion. These lines move much faster than the line at our booth, as Adam will not be sketching at these signings.

PORTFOLIO REVIEWS

Adam cannot do portfolio reviews during scheduled signings at other booths or during head sketch times at our booth.  If you can catch him at our booth when he isn't doing head sketches, you stand a better possibility of him having the time to look over your work.

Thanks! See you in California!
