2008 Convention Season Free Promo Poster:

ADAM HUGHES' Women of DC Comics

The color art before DC asked Ivy to be changed from flesh-toned to the final art's greenish hue.
This is the line art, before DC asked Adam to add Catwoman. You'll notice on the art on Adam's table, he had lightly penciled Selina Kyle in on the left hand side. The editors at DC saw this photograph, and asked that she be added to the roster of Heroines and Villianesses on the piece. At that time, the image had already been inked and was in the process of being colored. That's why we the have line art without Selina. When Adam did add her, he put her in a black gown, as opposed to all of the other ladies wearing white formal wear. It's as if Selina were saying: "You forgot to invite me? I forgot to wear white. Live with it."
Two details; one showing Harley and Ivy; this is the final skin tone for Poison Ivy in the poster. The other is Selina in her black gown.
The original artwork on Adam's table. It gives you a good idea of the size of the piece. The final dimensions are 21.5 by 40 inches.
